7 Tip to Ensure Amazing Centerpieces
Centerpieces are an important part of weddings. They allow for the theme to be incorporated and add a little something extra to your guests table.
Many things can be overlooked when picking these important décor items though! Here are some things I suggest thinking about before you make your final choice.
Pay attention to the height of the overall centerpiece.
Nothing is more annoying than having to look around a big centerpiece. Your guests should be able to see the person on the other side of the table. Either have the centerpiece shorter or taller (with most of the centerpiece above eye level).
Have two or three different centerpieces.
With a few different centerpieces, it will create more of a visually appealing room. It will also add more interest because there’s more to look at. Stick with the same idea for each of them though. If they’re too different, it will not pull your design together.
Make sure they are sturdy.
Guests will be bumping the tables throughout the night. You do not want any of your centerpieces falling during the evening. This will also make set up easier because you won’t be fumbling around trying to fix them while setting them up.
Keep them in line with your theme.
Use your theme colors and overall design in your centerpieces. This will also help pull the room together.
Less is always more.
Just because you can have it, doesn’t mean you should. Set up a mock centerpiece and see how it looks. Make sure there’s room for the place settings and other items needed a t the table.
If you have an item like a camera or something for the guests to
write on, let the guests know about it.
Maybe your guests didn’t notice it, or they are too shy to use it. If they are given the “okay” from you…They are more likely to use it.
Don’t be afraid to be creative.
Use items that you normally wouldn’t see at a wedding. I’ve seen fruit, books, teapots, lamps, unique candles, pictures, feathers and many more things. This will also make your wedding that much more special for your guests.
Have fun with picking something great out. I’m sure whatever you decide on will be beautiful.
