I want to talk a little about Day-of-Coordination/Month-of-Coordination/Event Day Management. They all mean the same thing, but the different names can definitely be misleading.

Wedding planners don’t just show up on your wedding day and run the show. There is work that goes on before the wedding as well. As talented as we are, it’d be nearly impossible to just show up on the day and execute an amazing day.

Here are a few things that you can expect from me with my DOC package

1. We will meet twice before your wedding to discuss the details

Let’s face it; every wedding is different, so we can’t just expect the details to all be the same as well. I will make sure I know exactly what you want and expect out of the day.

2. I will attend your rehearsal

It’s important that I know the details of your ceremony as well. I am also responsible for a lot of things during the ceremony, so I want to make sure I know everything about it. This is also a great time to meet your wedding party and family members. They will know to come to me if they need anything on the day of your wedding.

3. We will come up with a timeline for your day

Wedding days aren’t a “fly by the seat of your pants” sort of day. Times need to be planned out so that nothing is forgotten and everyone knows what’s going on.

4. I will work with your vendors before your wedding

I collaborate with your vendors before your wedding so that your day will run smoothly.  They will know that they are to come to me with issues that arise during the day of your wedding.  But mostly, vendors who know each other will work together like a well-oiled machine. We all need to trust each other.

5. We will decide on a plan of attack for your décor set up

I do minor décor set up on your wedding day, so we can discuss this before your wedding day. I will also give you a few hints on things that you should and shouldn’t do relating to décor and basic set up.

This doesn’t even touch on what I do on your actual wedding day. More and more couples are saying just how much wedding planners are invaluable.
