V + M’s Snowy Wedding at the Italian Cultural Society in Edmonton
I am so excited to share this beautiful snowy wedding day with you! When I met Victoria last spring, I knew that this would be a really memorable wedding. Victoria was so sweet and her vision was starting to come alive.
One of the first things that Jamey, of Jamey M. Photography, said to me was, “I am really hoping for some nice beautiful snowflakes on Victoria and Marshall’s wedding day tomorrow!” He did get his wish!
Now, if I am going to be honest, I hated that it was snowing so badly on their wedding day. Snow usually backs up our wedding day timeline, and can create a lot of unexpected problems (vehicle accidents, travel delays. cars getting stuck, and even just worrying about the sidewalks getting cleared).
Things actually went really smoothly though. We had a few minor set-backs, but nothing huge. It really was this beautiful day that we had all envisioned.
Victoria and Marshall opted to have first look photos taken at the St Albert Grain Elevator Park. The snow definitely added a special touch to their photos. Jamey’s wish wasn’t all that terrible!
As a little side note, at their rehearsal the day before, there was no snow on the ground! This all came down the morning of their wedding day!
Ah yes, some of my favorite photos! I love the intimate moments between the couple on their wedding day. For me, it captures their emotions in that exact moment, but it also shows the love between the two of them.
I also really like “raw” images of the couples’ faces during the ceremony. This one is so great because we can really understand what Marshall is feeling at this moment.
The reception decor was filled with personal touches that made it truly stand out. This small intimate wedding was truly one for the books!
Filled with laughter, tears and in some instances shock (as you can see by Victoria’s faces in this priceless photo!). As I always say, nothing has to be ordinary, it’s your wedding do what you feel is right. Marshall’s sister proved that to everyone with her unique but perfect speech!
Congratulations to such a wonderful couple! I look forward to hearing some updates on your beautiful life together. It truly was an honour to take part in your special day.
