A lot has happened this year and I have met so many wonderful clients and vendors. Here is a recap of the past year!

1. I got certified through the Gay Wedding Institute by 14 Stories

It was a huge step forward for me because the LGBT community has always been close to my heart. A special family member of mine is gay, so it has always been a goal of mine to hold this certification. It’s also really important for me to express that everyone is equal.

2. I attended a lot of events

I find it valuable to attend a lot of events. They inspire me a lot, but they also allow me to see the differences in each of them. I’m not going to lie though; I am the type of person that hates to sit at home all of the time. I am always out exploring new things.

3. I did a styled shoot with some brilliant vendors

Rusty Bride Rentals, Dreamgrapher and I teamed up to do a really awesome proposal styled shoot. We had so much fun with it! Take a look at my blog about it here.

4. I became a Certified Destination Wedding Planner

This was another very important certification because I’ve always loved travelling. I actually did a painting of Seattle, and I added the quote, “I’m in love with the cities I’ve never been to and the people I’ve never met” to it. I think it explains me pretty well. Anyhow, I chose to extend my schooling through WPIC to get this extra certification.

5. I’ve met so many amazing wedding planners this year

It may seem like it’s a bad idea to be friends with “the competition”, but it’s not like that at all. We have become a little family here in Edmonton. We also can lean on each other when we need things. Plus it’s not like we all have the same wedding visions, so we’re not really competition at all. The fact that we all know each other also ensures that you’ll get the best wedding planner for the job. We know the types of weddings that we love, so if you’re not a fit…We are able to recommend the best fit for you.

6. One of our lovely weddings was featured in Yeg Wed

This wedding was very dear to me because it was so unique. The stunning bride wore purple and their décor consisted of bunnies. Check out the post here.

7. I became a part of Wedding Rescue

It’s important for me to help out wherever I can. Becoming a part of Wedding Rescue just made sense!

There is so much more that happened this year, these are just a few of my favorite moments!

I wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
