There are a few things that are really important to remember to do on the day of your wedding. Here are 11 things I recommend doing before your wedding.

  1. Pack an overnight bag and plan in advance where you will have it.

Most hotels will store your bags even though you aren’t allowed in your room yet. Take advantage of these amenities.

  1. Assign a bridesmaid/maid of honour to hold onto your phone for

    the day.

Lots of people will be calling you, and it’s easier if someone else deals with it. The less you have your phone, the better your day will be.

  1. Make sure your bridal party knows the plan, and that they all have

    each other’s numbers.

This will make the day go so much smoother, and you will have less to worry about.

  1. Schedule a lunch for you and your maids to make sure you set aside

    time for this!

Even if you don’t feel hungry or thirsty, be sure you are getting something to eat and drink throughout the day.

  1. Do not get a facial on your wedding day (or even the day before).

This can cause redness and breakouts. Use this time to get your makeup/hair /eat/relax  instead.

  1. Wear a button down shirt when getting your hair and makeup done.

Believe me; this will make things so much easier!

  1. Make sure you have your husband-to-be’s gift.

This doesn’t have to be extravagant. For me, it’s the gifts that come from the heart that matter the most. Maybe it’s a letter that you wrote him, an inside joke, or something you know he really wants.

  1. Don’t be afraid to say “no” to friends/family.

I suggest not hiring friends for any part of your wedding. Then you do not need to worry about hurting anyone’s feelings.

  1. Monopolize some time with your new husband throughout the day.

In the end, your wedding is about your love. Celebrate it with him.

  1. Know that everything will not be exactly how you planned it.

Something always comes up! Go with the flow, chances are good that you’re the only one who notices/cares.

  1. Stop and take it all in.

You want to remember your day! Relax and take it all in.
